About Us

Billings, Montana, United States
The Professor and I were civilly married 24 May 1998 and sealed for time and all eternity 11 Sept 1999 in the Mt. Timpanogas Temple, American Fork, UT. We have, between us 6 biological children and 3 we claim as ours through the heart strings! We call Billings, Montana home and love it here. We camp, hunt, fish, ride horses and LOVE bull riding and rodeos. Our church is a huge part of our lives and our callings keep us very busy. We love our Saviour, Jesus Christ and strive to show that love to our fellow man every day. We got our nicknames because I am the "spark" that keeps things lively around here, and he was smart enough to marry me! That's the short story on it anyway!

FATHER'S DAY CAMPING TRIP

Dan and I went camping in Yellowstone National Park from Saturday to Sunday. It was kinda weird for us to be camping in a "real" campground, but you can't camp anywhere else in Yellowstone. We saw lots of wildlife including bear, elk, of course the never ending stream of bison, and most fun of all was the big horn sheep rams. I will post some pictures and video of the critters.

It rained cats and dogs all night Saturday and it was so nice to sleep listening to the rain on the roof of the camper. It was just bizarre being so close to so many other campers.

So Father's Day was a pretty good day for Dan. Megan called, Alma Jean called (and sent a card!), and Jake of course is living with us. Anyway, it was a good day for Dan and that's what counts. I am grateful for the love and appreciation that was shown to him.

I talked to my dad on Saturday cuz I knew Sunday would be a bit busy and I didn't know if I'd have time to call him then. He's not doing real great and I'm grateful for any time we have to talk or see each other.

So much time is wasted
with hurt feelings in human relations. Time that can never be regained. My brother is still so bitter and angry toward our father that he will have nothing to do with him. It makes me sad for both of them because once our father passes, there won't be any second chances for them to mend their fences in this life.

I think if my brother had ever had kids of his own, he might have learned something about the parent child relationship and how important it is. I know there is nothing my kids could ever do that would make me want to never have contact with them, or make me love them less. And I believe they feel the same way about their relationship with us. Love between parents and children should never be conditional, but should be unconditional and uncompromising.

I don't always love what my kids do, or who they are with, but I do always love them and embrace them for who they are and the bonds we share. They feel the same way towards Dan and I and I am grateful for their maturity.

Well, here are the pix and video from our latest camping adventures. Enjoy, and watch for more to come soon!

The pic of the dead tree looks like a painting. When hubby and I were at Yellowstone (my first time) we stayed in the hotel there. Nice and sunny when we got there, and the next morning we woke up to SNOW! I didn't have a heavy coat and was wearing sandals.

Dan and I have experienced the same thing! We go to Yellowstone practically every year. We went there for our honeymoon and I've been in love with the place ever since!
