About Us

Billings, Montana, United States
The Professor and I were civilly married 24 May 1998 and sealed for time and all eternity 11 Sept 1999 in the Mt. Timpanogas Temple, American Fork, UT. We have, between us 6 biological children and 3 we claim as ours through the heart strings! We call Billings, Montana home and love it here. We camp, hunt, fish, ride horses and LOVE bull riding and rodeos. Our church is a huge part of our lives and our callings keep us very busy. We love our Saviour, Jesus Christ and strive to show that love to our fellow man every day. We got our nicknames because I am the "spark" that keeps things lively around here, and he was smart enough to marry me! That's the short story on it anyway!

OH SUMMERTIME!

The Professor and me in the ghost town of Kirwin, WY

Well, summer is drawing to a close...School starts on the 26th and with that it's back to work for me and camping season has pretty much ended for me. The Professor still has a few camping trips lined up in conjunction with hunting season, so he'll have a few more adventures, but I'm done for the year.

We have been so blessed to go so many amazing places and see such beauty and incredible wildlife. If you haven't seen the wildlife pix, be sure to go back through the older posts and check it out. GREAT stuff!

We have also been blessed with a TON of weddings this summer w
ith the Young Single Adults that we work with through our calling. (so these kids aren't single any more are they!!) There have been a total of 12 (I think) couples from our singles ward that have tied the knot this summer. We have one more wedding to go to and then we are done for now! WHEW! It has been a whirlwind of weddings and receptions. We have traveled to some of them, and others have been right here in Billings. In fact, we have a reception to go to tonight for Nicole and David Watkins that were sealed last week in a beautiful ceremony at the Idaho Falls Temple. That is a very pretty Temple.

Having Jake living with us is proving to be a bit more challenging than we thought it would be. It's just hard having a 25 year old adult child with no motivation live with you, but we love him, and continue to try to help him find the motivation he needs to get up and get out!!

The other day, Elders Cox and Adams asked if we could feed them since they had no one else signed up to feed them dinner. We made them breakfast for dinner and I made the family recipe of butter syrup for the french toast...Elder Cox says his mom fixes it too! That really surprised me, I have never had another Elder who had ever tasted this culinary delight! Elder Adams was a bit nervous at first since he's not a big fan of butter, but he went back for three helpings of it exclaiming all the way how good it is!

As I sit at my computer typing this right now, I can hear the Elders back in their room singing their morning hymn. "How Great Thou Art". They sound so amazing together harmonizing. They both have very nice voices and it brings such a wonderful spirit into our home to get to listen to them sing every morning!

We are blessed and we are grateful to our Father in Heaven for the
blessings He gives us, large and small.
