About Us

Billings, Montana, United States
The Professor and I were civilly married 24 May 1998 and sealed for time and all eternity 11 Sept 1999 in the Mt. Timpanogas Temple, American Fork, UT. We have, between us 6 biological children and 3 we claim as ours through the heart strings! We call Billings, Montana home and love it here. We camp, hunt, fish, ride horses and LOVE bull riding and rodeos. Our church is a huge part of our lives and our callings keep us very busy. We love our Saviour, Jesus Christ and strive to show that love to our fellow man every day. We got our nicknames because I am the "spark" that keeps things lively around here, and he was smart enough to marry me! That's the short story on it anyway!

OH WHAT A FEELING!

So, the Professor and I went to Helena Tuesday for his work, and I went along for the fun of it. Well, I got a cortisone shot in my knee, before we went and I had a horrible reaction this time. It caused my blood sugars to go through the roof. At one point, they were over 400...YIKES... 600 puts you in a coma. I was pretty scared and it a LOT of pain. My head hurt so bad I really thought it would explode. Dan gave me a priesthood blessing and then massaged my neck and shoulders for a while. I was finally able to get back to sleep, but everytime I woke up I would check my blood sugars and they were all over the place, from 85 to over 300 and back down and back up and it was crazy. I didn't know cortisone could affect my blood sugars like that.
The battery in my meter died in the night, so the next morning, before his meetings, Dan went to Walmart to get me a new one. Now I find out that my meter is obsolete and they don't make the test strips for it anymore, so I had to call Dr. Sears and ask him for a scrip for a new meter and test strips.

I felt so bad that we had this wonderful night alone together and i ruined it by being so sick. What a bummer.

So, on to happier things! Liz and I talked this morning about her and Doug's trip to Paris and getting Brighton and Lilly up here for us to watch while they are gone. I am VERY excited to have them here with us. they are such amazing kids! They'll be here for 4 or 5 days. We were pretty tired after the last time they were here, but I think now we are better prepared! Being Grandparents is the best!!!
